The Original Pigeon Town Steppers dance down the streets to the music of the Stooges Brass Band during the 17th annual Easter Sunday second line.
The Single Ladies Social Aid and Pleasure Club will take to the streets on Sunday in a winding path through most of Central City. The route will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Foxx Lounge on Washington Avenue and end at Sportsman’s Corner on Dryades. For turn-by-turn directions, see Red Cotton’s post at Gambit’s Blog of New Orleans.
The Single Men Social Aid and Pleasure Club will second-line through Central City on Sunday afternoon in a route that will roughly follow the Mardi Gras Indians Council’s annual parade. The Mardi Gras Indians will begin their festivities at A.L. Davis Park at Washington and LaSalle at 11 a.m., and their parade will start there at 1 p.m. Accompanied by the Hot 8, Soul Rebels and Da Truth brass bands, the Indians will make a loop up LaSalle, Martin Luther King, down Claiborne and Washington back to the park. With music by Stooges Brass Band, the Single Men will begin at 1 p.m. at the Other Place Lounge at Foucher and South Saratoga in Milan and continue into Central City with stops on Dryades, LaSalle, Jackson, Simon Bolivar, Terpsichore and Toledano before ending at Foxx’s Lounge at South Rocheblave and Washington. After being canceled last weekend because to rain, the Ladies and Men of Unity Fifth Year Anniversary Parade is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the Rock Bottom Lounge on Tchoupitoulas. Featuring the Hot 8 Brass Band, the second line will head up to Magazine Street, then Louisiana Avenue, St. Charles Avenue, loop through the corner of Central City, then follow Louisiana Avenue all the way back down to Tchoupitoulas.
The Undefeated Divas, Gents and Kids will begin at noon at the Sportsman’s Lounge on Second and Dryades, then head up Washington to Broad and from there downtown. (via Red Cotton at Gambit’s bestofneworleans.com)
The Perfect Gentlemen second line will pass through Central City and up Louisiana Avenue on Sunday on its trek across the city, according to Red Cotton.

Right on Loyola to Louisiana.
