Worker robbed on Hillary Street, police say

A man working on a house on Hillary Street was robbed of his money Wednesday afternoon, New Orleans police said.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was working under a house in the 1800 block of Hillary Street shortly before 3 p.m. when he heard a man’s voice order him to stand up and empty his pockets, according to the NOPD report.

“The subject put an object to the victim’s back and checked his pockets,” the report states. “The subject fled in possession of $5,100 from the victim’s pockets.”
