Uptown Jewish Community Center evacuated for bomb threat

The Uptown Jewish Community Center on St. Charles Avenue was evacuated Thursday morning because of a bomb threat, New Orleans police said.

Officers are on the scene, NOPD spokeswoman Dawne Massey said shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.

“The campus is being evacuated as a precaution,” Massey said. “The investigation is ongoing.”
