A Tulane student stopped at Nashville and South Claiborne avenues overnight was carjacked after another vehicle bumped her from behind, New Orleans police said Tuesday morning.

The 21-year-old victim was stopped at the Nashville-South Claiborne red light around 2 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, when a gray sedan bumped her vehicle from behind, according to the Tulane University police report.

“The student exited [her] vehicle to investigate the damage as three subjects exited the other vehicle,” the report states. “One of the subjects pushed the student to the ground and entered [her] vehicle. The other subjects returned to their vehicle and all fled the area along Claiborne in the direction of Carrollton.”

The victim’s vehicle is described as a white 2007 Lexus GS350 with Louisiana license plate SKX 258.
