Detectives are looking for two people they believe broke into a Camp Street home overnight and stole a BMW from the driveway, and they are hoping surveillance video of the pair will lead to their identification.

The break-in at the home in the 2300 block of Camp Street is believed to have taken place on Oct. 2, according to a NOPD report. A personal assistant who was watching the home for the owner left and locked up around midnight the night before, and when he returned around noon Oct. 3, he saw that the owner’s beige 2010 BMW 3 series car (Louisiana license plate WXC 782) was missing from the driveway, the report states.

“A window on the side of the residence was open,” the report states. “The assistant entered the residence and observed several jewelry boxes and drawers throughout the residence had been rifled through, but was unaware of any items were stolen inside. The missing vehicle is believed to have been stolen in this incident.”
