The suspect in a shooting that left a man dead on Foucher Street in the Milan neighborhood in November has been arrested on a murder charge in California, New Orleans police said.

Bryan “Butter” Rogers, 31, was arrested Friday, March 24, in Sacramento, Calif., through collaboration of the NOPD Violent Offenders Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals service, according to a NOPD report.

Rogers was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Russell Frank at Foucher Street and Loyola Avenue, later deemed a second-degree murder case, police have said. Frank was found with fatal gunshot wounds around 4 p.m. Nov. 11, and he died at the hospital, police said.

Anyone with additional information in the case is urged to call the NOPD Homicide Division at 504-658-5300 to speak to a detective, or CrimeStoppers at 822-1111 to leave an anonymous tip that could be eligible for a cash reward.
