New Orleans police are investigating the rape of a woman at an as-yet-undetermined location, authorities said.
The victim filed her report — classified as an aggravated rape — around 8:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the NOPD Second District station on Magazine Street, according to crime reports. She was sexually assaulted by a man on Sunday, she told police, the report states.
“The victim was unable to provide an exact location,” said NOPD spokeswoman Dawne Massey.
Further details were not immediately available, and the incident will be investigated by the NOPD Sex Crimes unit. Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 822-1111 to leave an anonymous tip that could be eligible for a cash reward.
