Pioneering AIDS researcher to speak at Tulane

Robert Gallo, a biomedical researcher who helped discover the cause of AIDS, will give a presentation called “Journey with Blood Cells and Viruses” this week at Tulane University.

The talk will be held in the Freeman Auditorium in the Woldenberg Art Center on Tulane’s uptown campus at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12.  This event is free and open to the public, and a reception will be held after the talk.

Dr. Gallo is the director of the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine.
