Man stabbed to death on Clara Street, police say

A man was stabbed to death Sunday morning during a fight on Clara Street, New Orleans police said.

The stabbing took place shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, in the 4600 block of Clara Street (near Valence), according to the initial NOPD report.

“Upon arrival, officers learned that a male victim was involved in a physical altercation with a known male,” the reprot states. “The victim was later found lying on the ground in the 2800 block of Upperline Street and suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest.”

The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and died there, the report states.
