A man was injured late Wednesday morning in a shooting on St. Andrew Street in Central City, according to New Orleans police.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was near St. Andrew and South Liberty streets shortly before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, when a black vehicle drove up, according to the initial NOPD. Several men wearing ski masks began firing from the vehicle into the block, and the victim was hit twice before the gunmen drove away, the report states.

Further details were not immediately available. Anyone with information is urged to call the NOPD Sixth District station at 658-6060 to speak to a detective, or CrimeStoppers at 822-1111 to leave an anonymous tip that could be eligible for a cash reward.
