A man napping on his porch in Broadmoor on Thursday afternoon became the victim of a violent armed robbery, New Orleans police said.
The victim, a 59-year-old man, was sleeping on his porch in the 1500 block of South White Street around 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, when he was awakened by a masked assailant, according to the initial NOPD report.
“The subject demanded the victim’s money, but the victim said he had none to give,” the report states. “The subject then produced a brown hand gun, struck the victim several times and fled in possession of the victim’s cash.”
