The Supermercado La Acacias corner store on Freret Street was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday evening, New Orleans police said.

Two unknown men entered the store in the 4900 block of Freret around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, as the store was closing, according to the initial NOPD report.

“One of the perpetrators pointed a handgun at her and demanded money while the other one stood at the door also demanding money,” the report states. “The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene on foot.”

Both suspects are described as Hispanic males, around 5-foot-3 with a medium build. One carried a black handgun and wore a black hooded sweatshirt with a cloth covering his face, and the other wore a dark-colored jacket, the report states.
