A fire badly burned the home at 2119 Calhoun street near Tulane and Loyola University. All of the residents were able to escape the residence without harm, but the building itself was substantially burned.
Around 7 PM on Monday night a fire was reported at 2119 Calhoun street near Tulane and Loyola universities. NOFD arrived on the scene, getting the fire under control by 8 pm. The home was badly burned, but all residents were able to escape without harm. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
