Three suspects arrested in the armed robbery of a bicyclist on Perrier Street

New Orleans police have arrested Shomari Christophe, 18; Keyon Doby, 19; and Antonio Coillins, 20, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Oct. 7 in the 4900 block of Perrier Street.

At 8:55 p.m., a man, 58, was reportedly riding his bicycle on Perrier near Upperline Street when he became aware of a dark-colored vehicle driving slowly behind him. He moved to the side of the road and the vehicle, occupied by three men, allegedly stopped alongside the victim.

A man, whom police have identified as 18-year-old Christophe, got out of the car armed with a gun and demanded the victim’s backpack, police said. The victim handed over the backpack and the subject got back into the vehicle and fled the area.

Through investigation, NOPD Second District detectives were able to obtain arrest warrants for the three suspects for armed robbery with a gun in this incident.

NOPD Seventh District Task Force officers located Christophe on Jan. 8, while members of the NOPD’s Violent Offenders Warrant Squad located Doby and Collins on Jan. 17. The suspects have been arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
