Maureen Dowd (via Tulane University)
Maureen Dowd — the New York Times columnist known for sharp criticism of both Republicans and the Clinton camp alike — will speak Wednesday at Tulane University as part of a tour for her new book, “The Year of Voting Dangerously.”
Free and open to the public, the “Conversation with Maureen Dowd” with a live interview by Tulane professor Brian Brox will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Lavin-Bernick Center’s Kendall Cram Lecture Hall. A book signing will follow.
Dowd has been an Op-Ed columnist for The New York Times for 20 years, following a career as a Washington correspondent, and she won the Pulitzer in 1999 for commentary on the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Her new book is a “rolling, roiling collection of her columns — mainly ridiculing the two political figures she, like most of us, loves to loathe: Hillary Clinton and Donald J. Trump,” according to a review by Jim VandeHei of the New York Times Book Review quoted in Tulane’s announcement about the event.
