A man was fatally shot in Central City on Sunday evening, the New Orleans Police Department reported.
At about 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting arrived to Washington Avenue and Dryades Street. They found a Brent Jenkins, 20, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Jenkins was pronounced dead at the scene by the Emergency Medical Service.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause of death and release the victim’s name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
