Anthony Grana, 51, was fatally beaten on Tuesday (Dec. 14) in the Leonidas neighborhood.
The New Orleans Police Department learned of his death on Thursday (Dec. 16), according to an NOPD email. It is being investigated as a homicide.
The city’s Emergency Medical Service on Tuesday brought Grana from the 1900 block of Dante Street to a local hospital, where he later died.
In a notice released on Friday, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office listed Grana’s cause of death as “blunt force injuries.” It also stated he died Dec. 14.
