DETAILS: (NEW ORLEANS)—Edible Schoolyard New Orleans (ESYNOLA) and its title sponsor Presqu’ile Winery will deliver AN EDIBLE EVENING: A Garden Party Under the Stars on Thursday, March 21 at Samuel J. Green Charter School, 2319 Valence St. The fourth annual event is ESYNOLA’s biggest annual fundraiser and will feature delicious bites from some of the city’s finest local restaurants, as well as live music, a silent auction and specialty cocktails. For the third year Presqu’ile, of Santa Maria, Calif., is the exclusive wine sponsor of AN EDIBLE EVENING.
AN EDIBLE EVENING has become a rite of spring in New Orleans. The event takes place in the beautiful teaching garden at Samuel J. Green Charter School, ESYNOLA’s flagship location, and is catered by 25 of New Orleans best restaurants. In addition to its title sponsor, An Edible Evening is made possible by The Murphy Foundation, Ruth U. Fertel Foundation, Bertie Deming Smith, Sodexo in partnership with Pigeon Caterers, IBERIABANK, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, The James R. Moffett Family Foundation, Rouses, Whitney Bank and Merritt Lane. The event is co-chaired by volunteers Vera Lester and Christina Sheets. Music for An Edible Evening sponsored in part by Positive Vibrations Foundation includes Seguenon Kone and NOCCA Jazz Ensemble.
