Super Sunday 2016 to feature Mardi Gras Indians, live music

This year’s Super Sunday event will take place this Sunday, March 20 with a festival at A.L. Davis Park and a parade route. New Orleans Mardi Gras Indians tribes and special guests with live music performances will be featured.

The festival will begin at 11 a.m. at A.L. Davis Park. located on Washington Avenue and LaSalle Street. The parade route begins there at 1 p.m., and according to Mardi Gras Indian Council Chief Howard Miller, it will move onto Simon Bolivar Avenue, turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, turn left onto Claiborne Ave, turn left onto Washington Avenue, and culminate at Washington Avenue and LaSalle Street.
