Four Uptown bars are participating in a Friday-night pub crawl to raise money for trees to be planted the next day at the Wisner Playground on Laurel Street.

A $25 ticket at the door will buy you four beers, with the proceeds going to Friends of Wisner Park, the group that organized the drive to build the KaBOOM! playground earlier this year.

The participating bars are:

  • 6 p.m.: The Kingpin, 1307 Lyons (portions of the proceeds from food sales at Taceaux Loceaux will also be donated to the project)
  • 7 p.m.: Le Bon Temps Roule, 4801 Magazine.
  • 8 p.m.: Grits Bar, 530 Lyons St.
  • 9 p.m.: F&M Patio Bar, 4841 Tchoupitoulas.

The trees will be planted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the park (4866 Laurel St.), with materials donated by Hike for KaTREEna and landscaping by Taylored Environments. Volunteers are welcome to help.
