“Orange is the New Black” author to speak in Central City

Piper Kerman, author of “Orange is the New Black,” will speak this week at Ashe Cultural Arts Center on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard.

Kerman will appear as part of “A Conversation on Criminal Justice Reform” hosted by Mayor Mitch Landrieu and NOLA For Life on Wednesday, Nov. 16. A reception will be at 6:30 p.m., and the conversation will begin at 7 p.m. at Ashé Cultural Arts Center, 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard.
