A man was shot to death in Central City on Thursday night, the New Orleans Police Department reported.
Sixth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting at 6:58 p.m. in the 2100 block of Thalia Street.
They discovered an adult black male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim died at the scene.
The Orleans Parish coroner’s office will determine an official cause of death and release the victim’s name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
