WHAT: New Orleans Film Society presents an outdoor screening of the 80s classic movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Join us as we celebrate summer with a movie night under the stars. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and come early to reserve your spot.

WHO: New Orleans Film Society

WHEN: Wednesday, June 1. Food and drink for sale at 6 p.m. The movie starts at 8:15 p.m.

WHERE: Coliseum Square Park

TICKETS: This event is free and open to the public. Food trucks and vendors will be on hand, so please refrain from bringing your own food and drink.

About the film: Teenaged Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) is a legend in his own time thanks to his uncanny skill at cutting classes and getting away with it. Intending to make one last grand duck-out before graduation, Ferris calls in sick, “borrows” a Ferrari, and embarks on a one-day bacchanal through the streets of Chicago. Run time: 103 minutes

  1. That’s wonderful how the New Orleans Film Society will be showing “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” in Coliseum Square Park! My family, friends, and I love that movie–it is one of our all-time favorite films from the ’80s.
