In the coming weeks, LCIA will host events targeted towards two of Louisiana’s key industries. The February 2 Contractor Networking Night and the February 10 Transportation Workshop are both part of LCIA’s Industry Insights program, which seeks to provide events, information, and connections to the industries of Louisiana. More information about both of these events is available below.
Contractor Networking Night
Contractor Networking Night is this Thursday, February 2, at the NOLA Brewing Company’s Tap Room. This event is a construction industry meet and greet with contractors of every trade—a networking opportunity with prime contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers, and others from the industry in attendance.
Each registration includes two free drink tickets. We will be in the original tap room; look for the private entrance. There is a parking lot on Tchoupitoulas and another lot on Eighth Street.

Don’t Spin Your Wheels: Keep up with FMCSA Regulations with Coastal Truck Driving School
On Friday, February 10, LCIA is teaming up with Coastal Truck Driving School to bring you all the information you need to be safe on the road and in compliance with regulations. The good people from Coastal will discuss the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) regulations for both vehicles and drivers.
This seminar is meant for anyone in a business who handles large transportation vehicles. If you drive a vehicle that weighs more than 26,000 lbs., carries hazardous materials, or chauffeurs 16 passengers or more, we encourage you to attend because these regulations apply to you.
