Easter revelry comes to Uptown New Orleans this weekend in a variety of forms, including an Easter Egg hunt at the Palmer Park art market, a second line through Hollygrove, Fontainebleau, Carrollton and Pigeontown, and an Easter tribute to Louis Armstrong.

Friday

  • Kids Club Earth Day celebration Easter egg hunt and petting zoo. 12 to 2 p.m., Whole Foods Arabella Station, 5600 Magazine.

  • The Original Pigeontown Steppers Social & Pleasure Club second line parade. 1 to 4 p.m., begins at 3500 Eagle in Hollygrove and rolls through Fontainebleau, Carrollton and Pigeontown.
  • Poetry Reading and Open Mic. 3 p.m., Maple Leaf Bar, 8316 Oak Street.
  • Celebrating Easter: 65 performers from the town of Algoma. 5 p.m., Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Avenue.
  • Richard Horan Book Signing and discussion. 5:30 p.m., Garden District Book Shop, 2727 Prytania St.
