A McMain High School student reported that she was abducted from Nashville Avenue near Danneel Street at gunpoint Wednesday evening and raped at two different locations, then robbed by her abductor before being set free.

The victim told police she was walking in the 1600 block of Nashville when she was abducted by a man in a white four-door sedan around 6:20 p.m., according to a news release from the New Orleans Police Department. Her assailant drove her to a spot near Walnut Street and Leake, by the river, and raped her in the car, then took her to another location near General Pershing and South Prieur in Broadmoor and raped her again, the report states. Finally, he took her to South Broad and Palmyra in Mid-City, took her cash and dropped her off, the report states.

A map of locations involved in Monday's rape report: (1) where the victim was picked up, (2) and (3) where the sexual assaults reportedly took place, and (4) where she was robbed and dropped off.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-6, 200-pound black man about 30 years old, with a large build and a caramel complexion, wearing a black jacket with a black hooded sweatshirt underneath, blue stone-washed jeans and white shoes. A composite sketch of the suspect was also released.

A spokesperson for the Orleans Parish School Board confirmed to our reporting partners at WWL that the victim is a McMain student, but said that she was off-campus and not involved in any activity related to the school at the time of the incident.
