The death of a 74-year-old man in July was due to complications from a gunshot wound he suffered in 2011 on Spruce Street, the coroner’s office said.
Herbert Chatman, 74, died on July 24, according to Orleans Parish Coroner Jeffrey Rouse’s office, but his death is because of “complications from remote gunshot wound” that he suffered on April 24, 2011, at 8800 Spruce Street (at the corner of Eagle Street).
Further information on that shooting was not immediately available Thursday morning.
