After last month’s debate before a coalition of Carrollton neighborhood groups, the six candidates for the open District A seat on the New Orleans City Council have sent written responses to more of their questions.

The questionnaire includes both questions that were asked at the forum — on funding the New Orleans Police Department, improving the Sewerage & Water Board, regulating short-term rentals, protecting parks and streamlining taxes — as well as other topics such as mental health and renewable energy.

Early voting is open now and Election Day is Saturday, Oct. 14. A runoff, if necessary, will be held Nov. 18.
