A teenager was robbed Saturday night by a man and woman in Central City, the New Orleans Police Department reported. An Irish Channel resident was struck from behind by three robbers while working in her yard Saturday afternoon, the New Orleans Police Department reported. The victim, a 42-year-old woman, was gardening outside her home in the 900 block of Eighth Street about 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, when she was struck from behind. The blow caused her to fall and hit her head on a planter.
A woman was arrested Tuesday in the stabbing of another woman on Washington Avenue near South Claiborne, the New Orleans Police Department reported. Police say Edith Henderson, 56, came to the defense of friend who was arguing with another woman not long before noon on Tuesday in the 2900 block of Washington. Henderson is accused of stabbing the woman, 48, with a nail file or pen after intervening in the altercation. Further details were not immediately available. The New Orleans Police Department arrested a woman in a domestic battery and theft incident reported Sunday in Central City. Dominique Flot, 34, faces charges of theft, criminal damage to property, battery upon a dating partner and child endangerment, according to the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office. Police accuse her of breaking a window and invading a home in the 2600 block of Jackson Avenue on Sunday, Aug. 25, at about 4:10 p.m., then cutting a 29-year-old man on the hand and wrist with a kitchen knife. According to the police report, she also stole the man’s cellphone before fleeing.
A man was stabbed in Hollygrove on Friday night, the New Orleans Police Department reported. At 10:52 p.m. on Friday, June 28, a possibly impaired 49-year-old man showed up at a location in 3000 block of Hamilton Street. He got into a verbal altercation with a 33-year-old man. During the fight, the 49-year-old pushed and stabbed the other man, the police report states. Further details were not immediately available.
Two aggravated batteries by cutting, one involving a beer bottle and another a knife, occurred just moments apart at different locations in Central City, according to reports from the New Orleans Police Department. In the first, a woman was cut with a beer bottle during a fight with another woman at Erato and South Saratoga streets. The two were arguing just before 12:45 a.m. on Monday, June 24, when one woman produced a beer bottle and used it to stab the 39-year-old victim in the left shoulder, the police report said. She was treated at a nearby emergency room. The suspect is described as light-complexioned black woman, known as Dejanae, who is about 5-foot 6-inches and 175 pounds with long braided hair.
A 60-year-old man was stabbed by a stranger early Friday evening in the St. Thomas area, the New Orleans Police Department reported. A man ran into the victim in the 1900 block of Tchoupitoulas Street at 5:22 p.m on Friday, June 21. He demanded the 60-year-old get out of his way before starting a physical altercation. The Shell gas station at South Carrollton Avenue and Earhart Boulevard was robbed at gunpoint early Monday, the New Orleans Police Department reported. Two armed men entered the 24-hour business at 5:08 a.m. and pointed their weapons at the cashier, demanding cash. The cashier complied, and the gunmen fled down Oleander Street. A man was arrested Sunday night in an aggravated battery in the Fontainebleau neighborhood, according to New Orleans police. A 51-year-old man was arguing with Peter Geraci, 32, at a home in the 3600 block of State Street Drive, the police report says.
Shooting in Hollygrove
A 22-year-old was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on Sunday at 10:38 p.m. in the 8700 block of Apricot Street. Police found him while responding to a report of gunshots in the area. He was transported to local hospital via EMS.

A 67-year-old man, Joseph Montegut, was arrested Sunday in a knife and hatchet fight in Central City that left another man injured, the New Orleans Police Department reported.
The New Orleans Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Raquel Dorsey, 34, in connection with a stabbing that occurred Tuesday, April 9, in the 4500 block of Elba Street. At 9:09 p.m. on April two neighbors heard an argument outside. When they went to investigate the noise, they heard someone yelling for help and found the victim, a 45-year-old man, lying the porch. The victim was bleeding profusely from multiple wounds across his body. When the neighbors attempted to provide aid, he told them he had been stabbed by his ex-girlfriend, later identified as Dorsey.
