Two women and a man were injured this week in separate shootings within blocks of each other on a well-traveled thoroughfare separating the Broadmoor and Hoffman Triangle neighborhoods. The first shooting occurred on Tuesday (June 13) at about 10 p.m., the New Orleans Police Department said. The victims, a 34-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, were inside a vehicle in the 3400 block of Toledano when an unknown gunman fired shots into their car. Both were injured in the shootings.

Police blotter: Shootings in Hollygrove and Hoffman Triangle, stabbing in Central City

The New Orleans Police Department reported two shootings and a stabbing in Uptown neighborhoods on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday (June 14), a 19-year-old male was walking in the 8200 block of Palm Street at about 9 p.m. when two gunmen approached him from behind and began firing. The victim was struck once and transported to an emergency room. The other shooting occurred Tuesday about 1:30 a.m. The victim, a 37-year-old man, was in the 3000 block of Second Street, near South Claiborne Avenue, when a sport utility vehicle pulled up. A man got out and began firing, striking the victim.

Police blotter: Four robberies, burglary, attempted carjacking, stabbing

Five robberies, an attempted carjacking and a stabbing were reported to the New Orleans Police Department over the weekend.Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday (June 10), a man and a 54-year-old woman were in an argument in the 8600 block of Oleander Street when the man hit the woman in the face repeatedly. He then grabbed her phone out of her pocket and ran away. On Saturday (June 12) a 28-year-old man was working in the 4000 block of South Robertson Street. He went back to his car around 5 p.m. and was approached by two other men. One of them pulled a gun and demanded he hand over his car keys and other property, so he did so.

A carjacking, stabbing, shooting and armed robbery were reported in Uptown neighborhoods during the past week. The carjacking occurred Thursday (June 10) in the 4400 block of Washington Avenue. The victim, a 28-year-old man, had started his vehicle at about 11:30 p.m. and decided to run back into his residence. As he was getting out of the car, a man walked up and pushed him to the ground, according to a report from the New Orleans Police Department. The assailant grabbed the victim’s keys and drove off in his white 2014 Hyundai Elantra with Louisiana license plate 338 ENK.

Two shootings, a stabbing and a robbery are among the crimes reported in Uptown neighborhoods during the past week. A triple shooting occurred Tuesday (June 1) evening in Central City. A 33-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a teenager were at Jackson Avenue and South Saratoga Street at about 7 p.m. when a man walked up and began firing a gun. All three victims were struck. The Emergency Medical Service took two of the victims to the emergency room, and a third arrived in a private vehicle.

Police blotter: Shooting, stabbing, home burglary

The New Orleans Police Department reported a home burglary, a stabbing and a shooting in Uptown neighborhoods over the weekend. On Sunday (April 24) night at about 10:40 p.m., a Lower Garden District resident came home to find two men burglarizing his residence in the 1400 block of Constance Street. When the burglars saw the 25-year-old, one of the men produced a weapon and the other punched the resident in the face. On Saturday (Feb. 24) morning, a 30-year-old man was stabbed during a fight with a woman.

Police blotter: Two shootings, an armed robbery, a stabbing

Two shootings were reported in Central City this week, including a drive-by that left a woman with multiple gunshot wounds. In the other, a single bullet injured a man in the back. Other crimes reported by the New Orleans Police Department include an early morning armed robbery of a driver in Gert Town and the domestic stabbing of a teenage girl in Pigeon Town. A man stopped for a stop sign at Pine and Edinburgh streets on Friday (March 26) at about 3 a.m. when two men approached. One came up to him from behind and the other from the side with a gun.

Police blotter: Shootings, armed robberies, stabbings, carjackings throughout Uptown neighborhoods

Uptown neighborhoods saw their share of violence during the past week. In addition to a homicide in the Lower Garden District, at least three shootings, four armed robberies, four carjackings and two stabbings were reported in the Second and Sixth districts of the New Orleans Police Department. Armed robbery: At about 1:45 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 23), two men entered Danny’s Food Store at 2000 Earhart Boulevard, displayed a gun and demanded money from the register. The clerk handed over cash from the register, and the gunmen fled.

Man stabbed to death in the Lower Garden District

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Thursday (Nov. 19) in the Lower Garden District. At around 8:50 a.m., NOPD Sixth District officers responded to a call of aggravated battery by cutting in the 1800 block of Chippewa Street. Outside of a home in that block, they found a man and woman suffering from stab wounds, according to a police report issued Friday. The victims told the officers that another man was inside the house.
