Perfect Gentlemen to second-line Sunday

The 2019 Perfect Gentlemen second-line will take place Sunday, Jan. 6, through the Central Business District, the Warehouse District and the Central City, Garden District, Milan and Broadmoor neighborhoods. Traffic will be restricted along the route below. Expect road closures and traffic delays during the event. RTA services might be interrupted during this event as well.

Lady and Men Rollers to second-line Sunday

The 2018 Lady and Men Rollers second-line will parade Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Central City, Hoffman Triangle, Broadmoor, Garden District and Milan neighborhoods. The social aid and pleasure clubs are marching with the Grammy-winning Hot 8 Brass Band. Traffic will be restricted along the route below, so expect road closures and traffic delays in the afternoon. RTA services might be interrupted during the parade as well. The parade forms at 12:45 p.m. at 2812 St.

Pigeontown Steppers roll around Broadmoor, through Carrollton for Easter Sunday second line

The Pigeontown Steppers’ annual Easter Sunday second line starts at 1 p.m. near the corner of Louisiana and Claiborne avenues, rolls around Broadmoor on Toledano, Washington and Earhart before passing through several neighborhoods around Carrollton Avenue — including a stop late in the afternoon at the Maple Leaf on Oak Street. VIP Ladies and Kids to second line Sunday through Hoffman Triangle, Milan and Central City

The VIP Ladies and Kids Social Aid & Pleasure Club Task Force will hold their ninth annual second line Sunday, starting at noon at Tapp’s II Lounge at Washington and South Rocheblave in the Hoffman Triangle area, then heading down to the Milan neighborhood, onto St. Charles Avenue for a few blocks, and back up through Central City to end where it started. SilenceIsViolence peace walk and second line, featuring the Original Prince of Wales Social Aid and Pleasure Club and Stooges Brass Band

Organized as part of “Strike Against Crime” week, the SilenceIsViolence peace walk and second line began and ended at a community picnic at Lyons Park and included New Orleans firefighters, police, the Original Prince of Wales Social Aid and Pleasure Club, the Stooges Brass Band, members of the Faubourg Delachaise Neighborhood Association and bystanders who joined along the way.
