Newman School to host meeting on expansion plans

The Isidore Newman School on Jefferson Avenue is hosting a public meeting Tuesday evening to present its expansion plans to neighbors. A new early-childhood center at Loyola and Valmont is one component of the plan, as well as changes on the Danneel Street side of the campus, according to materials distributed to the surrounding neighborhoods. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Aronson Hall (the first double doors on the left) in the Oreck Building at 5320 Loyola Street. The Newman plans will go before the city planning commission in a meeting set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 26.
