The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating three unknown black males who robbed thirteen people last night inside of Restaurant Patois located at 6078 Laurel Street.
Just before 11:00 p.m., three masked suspects entered the restaurant, produced guns and demanded property from employees and customers inside. The suspects ordered the victims to get on the floor. Seconds later, the victims handed the suspects their property. Afterwards, the suspects fled out of the restaurant on foot with cash and property. No one was injured during the robbery.(image via NOPD)
NOPD Second District officers responded and immediately began interviewing the victims and reviewing available surveillance video. During the course of the initial investigation, detectives recovered a late model black Kia sedan with some of the victims property still inside of the car near the intersection of General Pershing and South Robertson Street. Detectives believe the suspects used the vehicle to leave the scene of the robbery. Detectives learned the vehicle was reported stolen out of Eastern New Orleans earlier this week.(image via NOPD)
The Second District Investigative Unit is in charge of the on-going investigation and can be reached at 504-658-6020.
And the streets are still dark. 1 street light was on. But lets worry about monuments and liquor licenses on maple street. Cantrell and Susan Guidry are both to blame for the poor lighting. They represent the 2nd police district. Guidry what are you going to do when robberies go up in the university area? Nothing, you will just bust underage drinkers at bars. Btw, we are still waiting for all the street lights to be working on Carrollton
