Man shot Monday evening on Louisiana Avenue dies from injuries

A man shot Monday evening on Louisiana Avenue succumbed to his injuries the following day, New Orleans authorities said.

The man was found in the 1900 block of Louisiana Avenue (between Danneel and Dryades) with a gunshot wound to the torso around 7 p.m. Monday, according to an initial police report. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and he died Tuesday, according to our partners at WWL-TV.
