Police still searching for suspects in robbery-shooting outside Saint bar

The two suspects in a robbery and shooting outside The Saint bar on St. Mary Street two weeks ago remain at large, and police are seeking the public’s help in finding them. Shaquille Cooper, 19, and Gregg Kagler, 20, were identified by police as the two robbers shown in a surveillance video attacking and shooting a patron of The Saint shortly after he stepped outside to use his cell phone about 3 a.m. Feb. 16. Cooper and Kagler had yet to be found as of Tuesday afternoon, said NOPD Public Information Officer Hilal Williams. Suspects identified in shooting outside Saint bar

Investigators have identified the two men who shot a man outside a popular Uptown bar in an apparent robbery of his cell phone, and they are now searching for the suspects to arrest them, police said. The victim had stepped outside the bar with his cell phone around 3 a.m. Feb. 16 when two men appeared, began fighting with him and subsequently shot him, based on video of the robbery released afterward. Based on an anonymous tip to the CrimeStoppers hotline, investigators were subsequently able to identify the robbers as Shaquille Cooper, 19, and Gregg Kagler, 20, police said in a news release Saturday.
