Three arrested after 14 illegal guns were found in Fontainebleau home

 

On Monday (Sept. 11), NOPD Second and Sixth District officers arrested three males after finding a large cache of guns and drugs in a Fontainebleau home. Two of the suspects are teenagers. Rayshad Nolan, 20,  Zyaire Cornelius, 19, and a 16-year-old were taken into custody  and 14 illegal firearms were confiscated, along with illegal narcotics. The arrests are a result of a surveillance operation by the two Uptown police districts.

Patrol officers arrest two suspects on drug, weapons charges in Central City

New Orleans police arrested two suspects and recovered drugs and weapons in Central City over Memorial Day weekend. On Sunday (May 28), Sixth District officers were patrolling in the 2700 block of Loyola Avenue when they observed a man who appeared to be concealing a firearm. He got into a vehicle with another man. Officers attempted a stop and arrested one of the men. The other fled on foot, throwing bags over a fence as he ran, police said.

NOPD seeking men accused of firing guns on First and Derbigny

NOPD officers are asking for help in locating two suspects who were caught on video illegally discharging firearms on Thursday (Nov. 3). Sixth District officers responded to an illegal discharge of firearm at the intersection of First and South Derbigny streets. After reviewing Real Time Crime Camera footage, it was determined the two men and the car pictured above were involved in this incident. The vehicle is a gray-blue Infiniti QX 55, police said.

Search of Gert Town home nets firearms arrest

The NOPD has arrested a Gert Town man on illegal firearm possession charges. On Jan. 22, NOPD Second District detectives secured a warrant for Darius Tapp, 29, after receiving numerous Crimestoppers tips regarding Tapp being a felon who was in possession of a firearm. Tapp was located on Jan. 26 outside of his residence in the 3300 block of Fern Street.
