One man was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night on Fern Street, and another robbery victim was beaten with a bat by a group of teen attackers early Thursday morning, New Orelans police said.

Around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, a man in his 30s was walking in the 3100 block of Fern when he was confronted by an unknown man with a handgun who demanded his money, the report states.

“The victim stated he had no money at which time the subject demanded the victim’s wallet and fled,” the report states. “The victim’s wallet contained about $105.00 in cash.”

Around 3 a.m. Thursday, a man in his early 30s was in the 2400 block of South Carrollton when he was confronted by five attackers in their teens who demanded his phone, the report in that case states.

“The victim refused,” the report states. “The subjects hit the victim in the back of the head with a bat, took his phone out of his pocket then fled.”
