The Millennial Awards is a one-of-a-kind awards program that honors New Orleans’ millennials who are making a difference in the community and excelling in their respective industry. The 4th Annual Millennial Awards, themed “Voices of a Generation,” will commence at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 16 at the Peoples Health New Orleans Jazz Market, located at 1436 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.
The awards ceremony will honor millennials in 18 diverse categories, such as healthcare, education, journalism, film, innovation, and music. More than 200 nominations were submitted by the public and were judged by a panel of local millennials. For a complete list of finalists click here. State Rep. Walter “Walt” J. Leger, III and WWL-TV reporter Tamica Lee will serve as this year’s hosts.
The ceremony will include the Millennial Restaurant competition for the third year in a row. The audience will vote on their favorite dish to crown 2016’s Millennial Restaurant of the Year. The restaurant competition will begin at 7 p.m., and the awards ceremony will begin at 9 p.m. An after party will follow the ceremony.
