SWBTraffic will not be allowed on a section of Calhoun Street in the university area on Friday for the installation of a new water line, according to the Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans.

The road closure will run from St. Charles Avenue to South Robertson Street starting at noon Friday, Aug. 7, and lasting until Saturday, according to the S&WB news release. The contractor on the project is Wallace C. Drennan Inc., the release states.

  1. Thanks for the information . Since I live on Calhoun I thought perhaps the SWB would have notified the residents . They showed up the other day and posted no parking signs and began loud and dirty work with huge trucks the next day, Monday . No notification of what the work would be, how long. Typical
