New Orleans police are investigating a shooting Tuesday afternoon on South Roman Street in Central City that wounded two men, authorities said.

The victims — a 21-year-old man and another man — were wounded in the shooting around 1:50 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 5) in the 1400 block of South Roman Street, according to NOPD Officer Frank Robertson III, a departmental spokesman. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, and they were taken to the hospital in stable condition, Robertson said.
