A 24-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon at Second and Dryades streets in Central City, New Orleans police said.

The victim was shot just after 3 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 6) in the 1800 block of Second Street, then taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition afterward, said NOPD Officer Frank Robertson III, a departmental spokesman.

Further details were not immediately available.
