A woman was injured in a shooting on St. Charles Avenue and a man was shot on Danneel Street in separate incidents about 20 minutes apart overnight, New Orleans police said Sunday morning.

The first shooting was reported at 11:50 p.m. Saturday (June 21) on St. Charles Avenue near Erato Street, where a woman was struck in the hip by gunfire, according to NOPD Officer Garry Flot, a departmental spokesman.

At 12:12 a.m. Sunday (June 22), another shooting was reported on Danneel Street, where a man was shot in the abdomen and taken to the hospital in unknown condition, Flot said. The shooting was originally reported in the 2700 block of Danneel (near Washington Avenue), but crime maps released Sunday morning placed it in the 2500 block of Danneel (near Second Street).

First of all violence is NEVER the way to deal
with issues. But let me put this out there
AMERICA!, Ive been telling everyone in the
nation through talk radio media that CRIME
is not one neighborhoods problem like it or
not! , because if we dont tackle it non-stop
in one area eventually it BLEEDS throughout
thr cities so now every damn body is getting
robbed & killed because “everyone” ignored
it so long because it wasnt in “your” community!
    Now everybodys gettin’ screwed!!
