Two people were injured Saturday afternoon in a drive-by shooting in Broadmoor, New Orleans police said.

The two male victims, ages 16 and 24, were standing in the 1300 block of South Salcedo Street (a few blocks from the intersection of Washington Avenue and Earhart Boulevard) shortly after noon Saturday (June 14) when a black SUV pulled up, said NOPD Officer Hilal Williams, a departmental spokeswoman. Two people inside the SUV opened fire, and both of the victims were taken to the hospital by private vehicle, Williams said.

Further information, such as the victims’ conditions or the suspect’s descriptions, was not immediately available.
