New Orleans police investigators are searching for three people they want to question about a Wednesday-evening armed robbery in the Irish Channel, and they are asking for the public’s help identifying them, authorities said.

Around 9 p.m. Wednesday (June 11), a man was walking home in the 600 block of Third Street when he was confronted by a man with a gun who forced him against a wall, demanding his belongings, police have said. A second man, also armed with a gun, approached and took the victim’s cell phone, according to a NOPD news release.

A third person is believed to have been sitting in the driver’s seat of a silver SUV nearby, police said. The two assailants with guns got into the SUV, which drove away on St. Thomas Street, police said.

Anyone with information is urged to call NOPD Sixth District Detective Drew Deacon at 658-6122, or CrimeStoppers at 822-1111.
