New Orleans police are looking for a woman who stabbed a man in the neck in Hollygrove on Saturday evening and a man who pulled a gun during a fight in west-Carrollton on Sunday evening, authorities said.

In the stabbing, a man in his late teens was standing in a driveway in the 2600 block of Eagle Street (near Apple Street) around 8:30 p.m. Saturday (June 28) when a woman approached and stabbed him once in the neck with an unknown object, according to a NOPD report. The victim was later listed in stable condition at the hospital, police said.

The suspect is described as an older black woman with long dreadlocks and gold-capped teeth who is known by the name of “Fuu,” police said.

In a separate case, police called to a fight at the intersection of Jeanette and Monroe streets in west Carrollton around 8:15 p.m. Sunday (June 29) learned that one of the men involved had drawn a gun and threatened a victim, according to the NOPD report.

The man with the gun was described as a thin, 5-foot-7 black man with short hair wearing a white T-shirt and beige camouflage shorts.

Anyone with information about either case is urged to call the NOPD Second District station at 658-6020 to speak to a detective or CrimeStoppers at 822-1111 to leave an anonymous tip that could be eligible for a cash reward.

In other reports of weekend violence in the Uptown area, NOPD crime maps also show a robbery at knifepoint in the 900 block of Seventh Street in the Irish Channel at 7:15 a.m. Saturday (June 28) and an armed robbery in the 2000 block of Erato Street (near Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard) around 9:15 p.m. the same day, but reports were not immediately available in that case.
