Ronald “Remo” Thompson, 22, was indicted last week on a charge of second-degree murder in the April 2012 killing of Darnell Brown in the 3800 block of Annunciation Street, and four other men — Ronald “Rozay” Brooks, 19, Demond “Lil-D” Sandifer, 18, Joshua “Josh” Pittman, 28, and Dejuan “Baby Ross” Williams, 19 — were charged with conspiracy to commit the murder, according to a report by Naomi Martin of The Times Picayune.

The shooters were members of the 110′ers gang and drove by that night in an SUV, firing on a group of people Brown was standing with in an attempt to hit another man, a member of the Get Money Boys gang, according to Martin’s report on the indictments. The SUV stopped, Thompson got out and continued firing on the group, this time fatally striking Brown but not the intended target, Martin reports.

what can we do to stop this carnage? how can we make this something that is not done in today’s society and that it is not a resolve to problems and other ways are available to interact with people in a way that is not desperate and stupid.

I remember seeing the police cars at the scene the night this happened.
