A man in his 60s is the second person robbed at gunpoint on General Pershing Street in the Milan neighborhood in less than a week, New Orleans police said.

The victim was getting off his bike in front of his home in the 2700 block of General Pershing Street (near Magnolia Street) around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday when he was confronted by two men with guns, according to the initial NOPD report. They demanded his belongings, saying “Give me what you got,” then took his money and left, the report states.

On Friday, a man walking to work around 2:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of General Pershing Street was also robbed at gunpoint by two men with guns, police said at the time.

Anyone with information is urged to call the NOPD Second District at 658-6020 to speak to a detective, or CrimeStoppers at 822-1111 to leave an anonymous tip that could be eligible for a cash reward.

After midnight, we’re gonna let it all hang out
We’re gonna cause talk and suspicion
    Give an exhibition
Find out what it is all about
After midnight, we’re gonna let it all hang out

Well, I guess this is going to make things easier: send a patrol car down General Pershing after midnight (thanks to topcat for the original thought).

The last one took place around Dryades in November. 2 guys..around 10:00…said the same thing to my friend “give me what you’ve got”.
