This weekend’s planned Saturday night showing of “The Triplets of Belleville” at Latter Library as part of the New Orleans Film Society Moonlight Movies series has been postponed by about two weeks because of rain, organizers said.

The film’s rain date is 8 p.m. (Thursday) May 22, according to the film society website.

“We’ve had to cancel it because of the soggy ground and the threat of more rain,” said Clint Bowie of the New Orleans Film Society. “But we do have rain dates already in place or all of the films in our moonlight movies series.”

Another Uptown event in the Moonlight Movies schedule, a showing of “The Goonies” during the Coliseum Square annual crawfish boil, is scheduled for Saturday (May 17).
