A teen pursuing someone who had just stolen his bicycle was then robbed at gunpoint by the thief early Friday near South Claiborne Avenue, New Orleans police say.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, ran after a man who had just stolen his bicycle shortly after 12:30 a.m. Friday near South Claiborne and Milan streets, according to the initial police report. The bicycle thief turned, pulled out a gun, and demanded the victim’s money, took it and left, the report states.

    I’m sorry that happened.. no one deserves to be robbed and threatened like this;but at 12:30 a.m. a bicycle is NOT a wise way to travel.
