A 52-year-old man is wanted on three counts of attempted first-degree murder after opening fire on a group of teens Monday night in Central City, critically injuring one and wounding another, New Orleans police said.

Three teenage boys were walking near Josephine and Brainard streets (about two blocks from Jackson and St. Charles) around 7:30 p.m. Monday when a man later identified as Gregory Johnson ran after them and started shooting, according to NOPD reports. A 14-year-old boy was hit and taken to the hospital in critical condition, and a 15-year-old boy was also struck and later listed in stable condition, according to the reports.

Johnson’s last known address is 2242 1/2 Baronne Street, police say. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 822-1111 to leave an anonymous tip that could be eligible for a cash reward.
